Promotion of wood as key element for achieving net zero

The PROMOWOOD Summer School took place from 19.08.2023 – 26.08.2023 in Davos, Switzerland. SCENE was one of the organisers of this program, along with the JI MainWood, the SwissForestLab and the NFZ.forestnet. Dr. Esther Thürig (WSL) and Dr. René Steiger (Empa) from SCENE gave presentations, and a number of PhD students and postdocs from SCENE participated.

The program included field trips to mountain forests, a modern saw mill, and an innovative timber construction company, shown in the photos below. It was a great success!
